2015 NYC Marathon’s leading women ran up Bedford Avenue and passed North 5th Street at the 1 hour 2 minute and 43 second mark
When runners in the NYC Marathon hit North Brooklyn, they know they are halfway to the finish line. Miles 10–13 contain the northern tip of Bedford Avenue, a western stretch of Manhattan Avenue, a little shimmy up Greenpoint Avenue to the length of McGuinness Boulevard that takes them over the Pulaski Bridge.
The Hungry March Band played nonstop during the Marathon, cheered the runners on, inspired the crowd to cheer, and proved runners aren’t the only ones with endurance.
