Billed as “A Night of Art to Terminate Domestic Violence” the CTRL+ALT+Domestic Violence Silent Art Auction was held on December 14, 2015.  Artwork that went on the bidding block was created and donated by teachers of PS 196 and local artists. $925 was raised and will go directly to the North Brooklyn Coalition Against Family Violence.

The North Brooklyn Coalition Against Family Violence program strives to enable survivors of domestic violence to negotiate the criminal justice system, break the cycle of violence, and increase their capacity to take control of their own lives.  Each year at the end of October the NBCAFV walks a candlelight vigil through our neighborhood streets to honor those who have lost their lives to domestic abuse and to raise awareness and support for those still living the nightmare situation.
