On Saturday December 19th, Santa Claus made his way to Williamsburg Brooklyn for a special holiday tour. He was joined by the Progress High School Student Council (dressed

as elves), Assistant Principal Tommy Torres, local elected officials, and sponsors for the third annual “Christmas in Williamsburg”.
Santa’s Sleigh took the form of vans via the 90th pct and PSA#3. These NYPD officers loaded them up in order to help deliver toys to hundreds of community children. Santa, his elves and the founder of “Christmas in Williamsburg” Tommy Torres, delivered close to a thousand toys to the Cooper Park, Williamsburg, Lindsay, and Bushwick Houses. It was a joyous occasion that brought smiles and laughter to so many neighborhood children, and families. Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Assemblyman Joe Lentol, and Health-first President George Hulse were part of Santa’s entourage and participated in the festivities.

The joy spread was made possible by some of Santa’s helpers behind the scenes. Santa salutes Assembly Woman Maritza Davila, Borough President Eric Adams, Tenant associations, and sponsors:The Williamsburg Sports league, St. Nicks Alliance, Health First, Con Edison, Broadway Stages, Local 372, District 14 teachers, and Arron McCann owner of Willamsburg Pizza shop who donated pizzas.
