On Dec. 17, a MTA bus parked on Graham Avenue with Santa inside. Usually this ride is via a vintage bus, but due to the snowfall a modern bus was the best way to go. NYC Transit sent two staff to help Santa give out candy and gifts to the 300 kids who visited (brought by 200 adults), so it was a busy day for Santa.

The Graham Avenue BID has hosted these free visits with Santa for many years — it has become a regular local holiday festivity. Betty Cooney, Graham Avenue BID Executive Director, also hopes to inspire some local shopping along Graham Avenue as the folks come and go from Santa. Party Glitters and Modern Medicine Urgent Care Center helped Santa out by supplying small gifts and candy for him to give away.
