Participatory Budgeting: See Your Vote Become Action!

VOTE WEEK: April 7–15

PB 33 2017 003
District 33’s PB Vote for 2018 will hopefully repeat its success of last year’s day 1 and again launch on April 7th at McCarren Park’s farmers market by the BK Story Voyager (a Participatory Budget winner back in 2014). Pictured is Benjamin Solotaire, District 33’s Participatory Budgeting Coordinator

Spring has sprung, and all the seeds of planning from the past fall and winter will come to fruition in ballot form. This is where you come in. You vote. You get to pick FIVE projects that you want to see come to be in your community. Also, the voting pool for this is broader than other elections: anyone who is at least 11 years old can vote. Plus you have a whole week of opportunities to vote: April 7–15

The winning projects will be funded by at least $1M of discretionary funds in the public budget for each district.

Our community contains City Council Districts 33 and 34, their ballot items and voting schedules follow.
