Late August brought a visit to 211 Ainslie St. from the Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul.  She greeted the young at heart Swinging Sixties seniors one and all.  While there she learned of School Settlement Association’s capital campaign for a new community center at 120 Jackson Street and offered suggestions to help support existing commitments and efforts from Assemblywoman Maritza Davila ($500,000), Assemblyman Joseph Lentol ($500,000) and Senator Martin Dilan ($300,000). The new center is estimated to cost just over $18 million, and of this amount, $4 million has been secured by Councilman Reynoso and Borough President Adams.
