What did you do this summer? The kids participating in St. Nicks Alliance’s summer camps spent the season expanding their minds, creativity, and athletic abilities, along with having just plain fun. There were trips to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the New York Hall of Science, amusement parks, and movie outings. They participated in theme days, group challenge days, and team building.

The campers at School Settlement Association @ P.S. 34 used their skills to work together and bring out their best “Throwback Spirit” and during the Banner Challenge the children drew old cartoons. When summer camp came to an end all the summer camp kids from all school sites gathered together to for the Summer Olympics and Summer Showcase. St. Nicks Alliance’s summer camps are partly funded by the Dime McCarren 5k a fundraising fun run that races through North Brooklyn on the first Saturday in May.

“The summer went by so quick. We can’t wait until Summer 2019!” said Sandra Serva, St. Nicks Alliance Program Director for School Settlement Association at P.S.34.
