Three Kings Are Coming!

Joseph and Mary are backed up by the Three Kings, a mule and a Camel at 2018’s Three Kings Day Parade.

On January 6, 2019 the 22nd  annual Brooklyn Three Kings Day Parade will begin its march down Graham Avenue from Meeker to Broadway at 2 p.m. This is a cultural tradition widely celebrated by families and friends around the world.

The “Dia de Los Reyes” is a celebration of the Epiphany, when the Three Kings (Balthazar, Caspar, and Melchior) gave their gifts to the Christ child. In Spanish speaking cultures, this is the original day when gifts are exchanged (in place of or in addition to Santa bringing presents on the 25th).  School and community groups, dancers, bands, floats, camels, donkeys, sheep, will precede the Three Kings in their procession backed by Caribbean and Latin American beats. After the parade the Kings will give out gifts to the children.
