100th Day of School Counts

PS 132 5th Graders stop by St. Nicks Alliance to celebrate the 100th Day of School

This Valentine’s Day clocked in as the 100th Day of School for local schools. This day is used as an opportunity to investigate mathematical concepts as teachers inspire their students to participate in creative math and counting applications. Students from PS 132 visited designated nearby businesses and neighbors some wearing hats with 100 items glued on. A fifth grade class dropped by St. Nicks Alliance’s offices at 2 Kingsland Avenue. One student counted 874 steps from the school to there.  The 100th day also marks the school year has passed its halfway point.
