Celebrate Skip Day!

“Why walk when you can skip?” stated Angela Vasser, President of the Skip Along Society (SAS). “It’s like smiling. When you smile you feel happier. When you put a bounce in your step, you feel joyful.”

SAS has been pitching an annual day to honor this pleasurable perambulation since 1998, and Congress designated the day for April 1st, in January.

“I don’t know why people don’t skip more! There is no reason I can see why once we get into our teens we stop skipping. It’s fun. It’s fast. It’s not as hard on the knees as jogging is, that’s for sure,” said Senator Chuck Schumer.

Have you skipped today?
