On Wednesdays, North Brooklyn Angels’ usually dishes out a free hot lunch in front of St. John’s Lutheran Church at 195 Maujer Street. The Wednesday of April 24th there was something extra special. New linens (comforters, sheet sets, shower curtains, etc.) were distributed in an on the spot lottery. The merchandise had been collected by volunteers and donated by a home goods store.
North Brooklyn Angels invites other stores with out-of-season or otherwise excess merchandise to work with them to distribute these new household items to neighbors who would appreciate such generosity. The Angels will pick up the donations with their newly donated van courtesy of another generous business donor, The Roux Corporation.
