Two Trees Management hosted a discussion on three nights (June 26, July 10 and July 16) regarding the future of the former Con Edison site on River Street between Grand and North 3rd Streets. These brainstorming sessions brought about a lively exchange, especially concerning the open space and waterfront areas. Many in attendance were impressed that Two Trees took the time to solicit this input prior to beginning preliminary designs. This development takes shape after the opening of the highly touted Domino Park a year ago. Domino included substantial affordable housing and created and offers many employment opportunities for community residents. It is anticipated that this new site will come to the  Community Board 1 through the NYC Uniform Land Use Review Procedure process sometime in the coming year.
