The fourth annual Patrol Borough Brooklyn North Sleigh Ride rolled through East New York to Greenpoint on Saturday, December 21. The sleigh ride began at around 11 a.m. at Cooper Park Houses and then went onward to make a dozen stops to deliver about seven thousand toys.
The Bushwick Library was another early stop on the multi-vehicle caravan of about fifty. Santa and Mrs. Santa were joined by a variety of Marvel and DC superheroes. Spiderman showing off his spidey-clinging ability hung off the back of one of the trucks as it drove in and Groot, who has grown very tall was a standout. Of course the real heroes were the NYPD officers who organize this annual joyfest.
