For nearly a quarter of a century, Graham Avenue has celebrated the “Dia de Los Reyes”, a celebration of the Epiphany, when the Three Kings (Balthazar, Caspar, and Melchior) gave their gifts to the Christ child.  In Spanish speaking cultures, this is the original day when gifts are exchanged (in place of or in addition to Santa bringing presents on the 25th).  School and community groups, dancers, bands, floats, camels, donkeys, sheep, will precede the Three Kings in their procession backed by Caribbean and Latin American beats. After the parade the Kings will give out gifts to the children.

The Three Kings (Balthazar, Caspar, and Melchior) arrive at the end of the parade with camels and donkeys and other animals.

It’s a wonderful event full of color and joy that will warm you inside even if it’s chilly outside.

2020’s Three Kings Parade will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 5th at Meeker and Graham Avenues.
