NYC Council Member Jennifer Gutierrez was sworn into office last December, but she wanted to celebrate her swearing-in with the community that elected her. The town hall also provided the opportunity to meet her staff and offered food, beverages and entertainment. On May 15 she was sworn-in again on the stage of M.S. 50 next to her husband, Ariel Salazar, while holding her daughter.
Earlier in the week, on May 12, she organized a community Shred Fest with the NYC Department of Sanitation, to safely dispose of personal documents and financial information through the Shred truck!
