Elder Care Section: Monthly Food Pantry at Swinging Sixties Center

Food Pantry sign 001

The 2nd Thursday of every month from 1 p.m. to 4 p. m. a food pantry sets up at Swinging Sixties Center. This service especially helps those whose fixed income isn’t enough to cover all their food costs. Anyone who is interested should call the center and register before the distribution date. Only those registered will be able to participate in the food bank.

To register, one must be 60 or older and provide: picture ID with date of birth, proof of residence if current address is not on the picture ID, and proof of income (SSA or SSI Award letter).

One may assign a proxy (i.e. friend, neighbor, home aide, etc.) to pick up the food package on their behalf.

Swinging Sixties Center is located at 211 Ainslie Street, BK 11211; phone: 718.963.3793
